UM Employees Gather for Annual Recollection 2026
In line with its continuing commitment to the spiritual well-being of its workforce, the University of Mindanao successfully conducted its Annual Employee Recollection on March 30–31, 2026, anchored on the theme: “80 Years in His Grace: A Legacy of Memory, A Life of Presence, and A Vision of Prophecy.â€
The two-day activity was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Neil J. Badillo, OFM, and Sor. Marrietta Vega, OSC, for the Catholic group, culminating in a solemn and grace-filled celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Meanwhile, Hon. Bambeth Mahal Jambangan-Diez led the sessions for the Non-Catholic group with equal dedication and insight. They brought together UM employees in a meaningful pause for reflection, gratitude, and renewal, as the University celebrates its 80th year of grace-filled service.
The Catholic group held their recollection at the 3rd Floor Psychology Review Room, Embassy Building, UM Bolton Campus, facilitated by Rev. Fr. Niel Badillo, OFM. Through guided reflections and moments of prayer, participants were led to deepen their faith and rediscover their sense of purpose in service.
Meanwhile, the non-Catholic group gathered at Cagliari Hall, CHE Building, UM Matina Campus, with Hon. Bambeth M. Jambangan-Diez serving as facilitator. The session provided a reflective space that encouraged participants to strengthen their values, cultivate mindfulness, and align their personal and professional lives with a greater sense of meaning.
The recollection served as a reminder of the importance of pausing amidst daily responsibilities to reconnect with one’s mission, values, and calling. It highlighted the University’s dedication not only to academic excellence but also to nurturing the spiritual journey of its employees.
As UM continues its legacy, the Annual Employee Recollection stands as a testament to its enduring commitment to holistic development—honoring the past, embracing the present, and envisioning a future guided by faith, purpose, and shared responsibility.
